Summer Time!

It's summer (at least here in phoenix it is!). The weather is so beautiful right now. Yesterday the kids decided to go for a swim. Even Charlie got to bust out her bathing suit for the first time.

She does not like the taste of the pool water~ too salty! And she doesn't like to float on her back either. But all in all, I think she enjoyed her first dip in the pool.

Malia

Setting: I just got home from a morning run and was cooling down outside. Malia came and sat on my lamp and put her hand on my chest.

Malia: Dad, I can feel your heart beeping.

Me: It's beeping pretty hard, is it?

Malia: Yes, it goes beep, beep, beep.

A little bit of Charlie

Oh how I love Charlie's jumperoo! She needed something to entertain her, and she was tired of laying down to play in her pack and play. She wants to sit up and see what's going on around her. She's not quite tall enough to touch the ground and bounce yet, but she'll get there soon enough. I'm not sure she'll ever be able to boing as fast and crazy as Mackenzie did in her exersaucer, but we'll keep the video camera handy just in case.

Guess who loves her blanky?!??!

And finally, guess who FINALLY learned to roll over? She's a rolling machine now.
