I will never believe that my beautiful, helpful, sweet and loving Bella wrote that letter. What could you have done to deserve such harsh words either? If I ever receive a letter like that from Elise, you will have to send Bella over to console me! What was that about her saying her prayers alone? Oh, I am terrified of girls!
LOL Awesome. That is a very thought out and detailed note. My daughter once told me I was the worst mother in the history of mothers. I thought that was a huge compliment. I mean out of all the mothers in all of history, I was the worst? There's something to be said about that. :)
And, Elizabeth, you should be afraid, be very afraid. :)
Do you think in her prayers she was damming you to hell?? That is seriously one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I'm so glad you now have this in digital form just in case anything ever happens to the original, which, btw, I hope you will have framed in a shadow box and hung proudly in your living room for all visitors to see. I love it.
boy, she really is articulate! i want to know how she presented it to you. was it taped on the fridge? tucked under your pillow? or handed to you in person?
it looked like she was on speaking terms with you this afternoon. or maybe that was a silent look of death?
please share your parenting tips with the rest of us when you figure out how to handle it all - all of us parents with little girls have this same situation in our near futures...
Oh Michelle, that is the funniest thing EVER! And I only say that because it's not me getting the letter. Mackenzie is quite amused by it too~ I might expect that from Malia, but Bella??? And, is she talking to you now? Seriously, don't talk to me, don't hug or kiss me... Where does she come up with these? You better call the therapist now! LOL!
I'm glad you are more amused than disturbed by it- you know me, I was crying the first and only time I ever saw "hate mail" from Mackenzie, and she didn't actually give it to me, I found it in her room :(
I hope you're not thinking about Bella right now- she said u weren't allowed to. Does Rick ever get hate mail? What did he think of this whopper?
You tyrant! What did you do to my sweet, innocent, unassuming, longsuffering niece? I know she'd never just get upset for no reason.
I'm dreading the day my two little girls can commit their true feelings to writing. At least for now the worst I get is a scowl. Please do tell how she delivered this letter. We laughed pretty hard over here.
Wow-that's quite a letter! I thought I had it bad when Jake just wrote me a letter that said I hate you mom! And, I think I'll start saving the numerous "I love you" notes from Jessica before they change!
Well as for delivery, it was a bedtime incident, and she left the note on the stairs where I found it when going to put the boys to bed. Michelle and I had a good laugh when we read it. I've been hearing about Emma's notes for years, and was excited to see one from one of our kids.
The funny thing is that like an hour later Bella was out of bed asking Michelle to tuck her in, because she didn't get tucked in earlier due to the spat. Michelle's response was something like, Sorry, I can't do that because then I would have to think about you.
To be fair to Bella, though, she was not the only one to have overreacted that evening ...
Rick, I told you not to provolk Bella like that. I know she never would have done something like that if you hadn't overreacted. Thanks for admitting that though and giving her back some of the dignity that she squandered with that note.

Wow Michelle, that tops anything Emma ever wrote by a ways! Don't hug or kiss me Goodnight? Don't think about me? She is serious about this!

You've got to send a copy to Court, too. Awesome.

"I'm never going to forgive you for what I did to myself"...? That is hysterical. And, she's not even a teenager yet, can you hardly wait?
