I finally made it to one of Jake's wrestling matches, and he didn't disappoint. Here are a few clips. He won all three matches, scoring 17 of his team's 39 points. His opponents only scored a total of 3 points off him.
I can see why Michelle doesn't like watching the matches...it's kind of unnerving watching little Jake out there competing. He is dang good though! I'm so proud that I even called my roommates in to watch.
Aack!! I had to stop watching halfway through 'cause I couldn't stand it. lol. Questions: 1, who the heck was that screaming his name? 2, am I the only one who thinks it's weird that there's a bunch of kids wrestling all at the same time? I guess there would be too many to go at one time... 3, aren't you grateful now for all the years the boys have spent wrestling and fighting with each other? lol
Judy....that certainly was not me screaming. My friend Tracy works at the school and adores Jake. She came over to watch him wrestle because she is really into it. Thank heavens...because I was too busy clenching my teeth and holding onto my chair for dear life. Wrestling is so not my thing. And, there were so many kids wrestling at once because it's j.v. Varsity wrestles one kid at a time...that's why I hate it. It's intense. And yes, perhaps Jake and Carter's wrestling all these years is finally paying off...but he's still never doing wrestling again.
Ah, we never tire of watching Jakes skills in it appears to be any sport. He is such a talented kid, wish we could be there to cheer him on in person! Carter is good practice.
Dude, that was amazing. Nothing is better than watching Jake get a kid in a half-nelson. Once he had the kids arm behind his head, all I could think about is, "why isn't he hitting him now?" It's probably a good thing that I'm not there cheering him on. Michelle, not doing wrestling again? He's a natural!
Dude, what a little manimal. I love it. Of course it would be different if it were my kid on the mat but justin's right. That kid looks like a natural.

Jake's a natural at whatever he does. If she takes him out of wrestling he'll just find some other sport that he's amazing at so don't you fret.
