Love notes...

Jake is by far our most emotional child. Let's be honest folks...he has some anger management issues. Anyhow, he freaked out on Saturday night and was not very nice. About 10 minutes later, he came downstairs and handed me this note. He cried off and on for the rest of the night because he felt so bad...I thought I'd record it for posterity's sake and so the next time he freaks out...I'll remember to give him 20 minutes and let him cool off...

That is so cute. I have some pretty hysterical notes saved up, not all of them so nice.

That is so precious. And profound. He was mad at himself for getting mad at you?!? That is seriously WAY beyond the emotional maturity of a boy in college, let alone a kid his age. And, the best part is he plays sports so he's not a total sissy. Can you find me one like him that's my age?

Oh my starts, Meems. For reals, on my best day I don't make apologies that well. I heart Jake. A lot. I miss him.

Seriously Michelle you have gotten all I ever wished for you and more.
I remember one little girl who also had a way with words saying to her mom- "When you get mad at me it makes my heart hurt inside"
. Keep those notes in case Jr high is tough for him - it will help you to remember he really does love you and he hurts inside when he hurts you.
