Question...

What does it look like when a 7-year-old forges his mother's signature??? Well, it's printed in the neatest handwriting and it says "Mashell". The speech teacher called today to inform me that Carter had signed my name for me. Seriously? Did Jake teach him that? Wow...the kid is only seven. Then, when confronted, Carter told her that I told him to do it because I was too busy. Nice. At least he's creative...

Thanks, I am glad Carter could clear that up for me. I sadly admit that I have been calling my sister by the wrong name all of these years. That is so awesome. I love my sister and her family. "Marshall" is a lovely name by the way.

Alalalalalala. I may or may not have forged parents signatures in the past. At least when I did it (allegedly) I was capable of getting away with it. Classic.

Did you get to see the forged "signature"? I'd scan that in and post it!!!

I'm pretty sure that instead of learning it from Jake he inherited it from his mother's side...

I'm ashamed to admit that this is probably a habit he will grow out of. That doesn't excuse him... but there is hope for him yet!

Comments to one and all - Justin, not only did you forge the signatures but you did spell the names correctly, Judy - I'm with you, if my memory serves me right I believe it was when signing out Carters mother from saugus high that I was informed my signature was not my own because they HAD A DRAWERFULL OF NOTES SIGNED A DIFFERENT WAY...but spelled correctly, and if you are looking for him to outgrow it - look for, maybe after he graduates from high school.

i am seriously laughing out loud right now. "mashell", i want to know who was forging your mama's signature on all those notes when you were in high school?! ah, dee, that was a good one... parents love when things come full circle.

Awesome. He almost got away with it. There are just so many reasons to love that kid.

I have to say that I was the preferred parent forger in my high school I always chalked it up to my excellent penmanship and took it as a compliment. Heck, I should have been charging for that art! It's good to know Carter will have a career to fall back on. Love the story!
