For everyone who is having trouble accomplishing their daily tasks because their fingers are crossed for us (because I know that all your lives revolve around me), I have a date for my 20 week ultrasound, the BIG one, the one where you usually find out what kind of baby you are having. It all depends of course on the cooperativeness of the baby--Camille for example refused to uncross her legs and it was very difficult to tell what she was.
The big day is June 13th, 8:3o am mountain standard time. In case you can't tell I'm pretty excited, because that is only two weeks and two days away. I'll be making announcements as soon as I get out of the doctor's office and can use my cell phone again, unless I'm in my bed refusing to come out--then I'll get around to it when I can.
I had my sister take a picture of my belly for you all, and it's still on her camera so you'll just have to picture it in your minds.

I'll fast for you and your SON next week :)
Kate, I'm picturing your belly in my mind and it's breath taking...just breath taking.
Tammy and I worked out a deal when bar results came out that we'd wait to make sure both of us passed before letting the family know; she got her results before mine and we decided that it would be all too awkward for her to announce that she passed/failed and then me to have to announce the opposite a week later.
Kate, I'm willing to make another deal. Our ultra sound is on the 8th. Do you want our news when we get it or should I wait until your announcement? For us, the stakes aren't high, but I do have some sensitivity to others left in me.
Oh, and ps, you should know that while Tammy and I did MAKE the deal, it doesn't mean that we actually pulled it off. No one keeps secrets very well, you know. But we can try.

Lisa,
That is so thoughtful of you, but since I already have three kids and my sister already spoiled my fun by having a boy on the first go, you can announce away whenever you are ready! I know I couldn't wait a minute, especially that news. That is when all the fun begins, decorating, name picking, shopping, planning, it's great.
Plus, despite all our protestations, there really is no bad news in this case. Thanks for the sweet offer!
Okay, okay okay. Good thing you declined; I really wonder what Matt would have said when I came home with the news..."Uh, honey, I told Katie we'd keep it a secret for five more days - you don't mind, do you?"
I just hope after all my anticipation about it that I'll actually find out SOMETHING.
OK girls I'm proud of both of you and glad you didnt make the deal to wait and announce together - Dad doesnt say much but he is always interested in another little one arriving - and I'm sure he could manage a little excitement if one or both happened to carry the Lisonbee name into the next generation - so, on we go
I guess that means the pressure's off for me, eh? I mean, my kid's not having a lisonbee name...boy OR girl. So, bring on the pink for me! YAY!
Oh, and Lisa...my head is actually hung in shame for announcing my bar results. Just as pennance, I'll wait a week to announce I'm pregnant.
TAMMY'S PREGNANT!!! DID YOU HEAR THAT!??! I'm going to tell everyone - including your grandma -you'd like to relive that phone call, now wouldn't you?? Little Tammies all around...
Oh, and don't worry, I'm sure Adam wouldn't mind if your boys all carried the last name of Lisonbee.
Lisa,
I said I was waiting a week so could you kindly keep it down until June 8? GOSH! I thought the blog would be a perfect place to confide in you and keep it just our little secret. But that's all ruined now. The dream is gone.
