Spring Chickens

For Halloween this year, I thought I would try and be domestic and actually make the kids a costume. I really hope I'm not getting in over my head and there's no going back now because I already ordered all the supplies I need. Anyway, here's a picture of what the girls are going to be - my little Spring Chickens! I got the idea from Martha Stewart. Wish me luck!!! I will surely need it.

I made (okay, really Michelle made most of it. ;) )that costume for Emily one year and she won first prize in the costume contest! If I get a chance later I will post the picture to my blog.

I can't stand how cute that costume is. Make sure to keep in in tact so my kiddos can use it! :)

I LOVE it! This year Emma will be a ghost, Camille is going to be Ariel, and Ash is a bee. She likes to chase the girls around in her costume and try to sting them!

I was going to make that for Aurora next year! I love it! Be sure to post the finished project.

How funny that we would chose the same costume out of all the choices out there! I'm thrilled that someone I know has made this because maybe you could give me some useful tips on making it? Can't wait to see the picture of Emily.

Kate, what are you doing for Emma's ghost costume? Brandon wants to be a ghost this year, but I haven't found any in the stores that I like so I was thinking of maybe making one, but not sure how to do one other than putting a sheet over his head. Anyway, wondering if you know of any interesting ghost costumes.

I'll be sure and post a picture of the girls once I'm done... hopefully it turns out as cute as the picture!

Steph,
I found one at Walmart--it is a long sleeved nightgown thing with a cape and hood, a white wig, and white gloves. I had a hard time too because at all the church and school parties they don't like your face to be covered, so the old sheet-over-the-head thing wouldn't work. It's pretty simple, Brandon could probably use the same one minus the long wig.

Kate, that costume sounds much more interesting and way less gruesome than the ones I've seen so far. Sounds perfect! I'm going to check out the costume at wal-mart this weekend. so, thanks!
